Window Grilles with reflective decals

Adding finishing touches ~ here Bottega (Restaurant) at the top end of Bourke Street, Melbourne has added window grilles as a design feature that is also functional and versatile.  The aluminium grille provides good contrast against the deep grey of the building, being movable it changes the look of the building depending on whether it is open or closed, night or day and also the mood, as the images below reflect.  The subtle addition of reflective silver vinyl on the screens creates signage for the building.  The grille screens the street view, creates a panoramic view of what is a wonderful streetscape when open, is aesthetically appealing from the inside out or outside in, in the evening or during the day.  When the sun is in glaring view it can chop it up, screen it, or allow it to contribute to the aesthetic.   Again it can be adapted for the home for a different aesthetic, to screen neighbours, sunlight or an ugly view.  It can be opened up to reveal a specific landscape view that is framed.  You could get really creative and add reflective vinyl in a design of your choice, a street number or the name of your house.  Finishing touches that make your space unique …

We like to give back a little to the clients that support our business, particularly the ones that keep coming back, because in the end business is all about building mutually beneficial relationships, getting to know one another … that’s usually the fun part! But we are about service too, so that when things go wrong, we provide solutions, but like I said this is the fun part because we get a kick out of giving and it’s also a good way to promote our fantastic printed shopping bags; made to fit the checkout bag holder perfectly and the checkout personnel love them because they don’t flop all over the place; they sit upright and they’re built to last a 1000 years according to the Gruen Transfer. Designed by us, made by a local sailmaker, David Allen, using an industrial sewing machine and durable cotton so you can pack as much as your two hands can carry … oh, and we are in the branding game, so just another way of getting your message out there ….

Printing Children's Artwork

ecky Hyde, who has a child at St Catherines Early Learning Centre, came to John with the idea of printing children's artwork on canvas. John however thought that printing on shopping bags would be a nice way for the kids to display their artwork and as a gift, it was useful and special to the receiver whether it be grandma, mum or dad etc. The kids in turn wanted to raise funds for Wildlife Warriors Worldwide and this became the theme for their drawings. DE created backgrounds graphically representing the native habitat of the animal chosen. The children's drawings were photographed, and digitally placed on the themed background, then printed onto canvas. Orders were placed for 120 bags. To find out more about this idea as a fundraiser for kinder, creche, preschool, school or as a gift for staff and clients this Christmas, please call John at Decently Exposed (PrintAsArt) for more information on 9827 7033.
